This privacy statement applies to hotel Old Nickel.

At Hotel Old Nickel we strive to deliver excellent products, services and experiences. We value your business and, more importantly, your loyalty. We recognize that privacy is important. We have created this statement to explain our policy regarding the personal information we collect from you or about you through this site, through written or verbal communications with us, or information collected when you visit one of our hotels or from other sources.

By using our products or services and/or by agreeing to this Statement, for example when registering for one of our products or services, regardless of how the reservation was made, you consent to the collection and use of personal information as described in this Statement.

This Statement does not apply to processing of personal information on behalf of and according to the instructions of third parties, such as airlines, car rental companies and other service providers, companies organizing or offering travel or travel packages, marketing partners or corporate customers.

Personal information we collect.

At every contact or interaction with the guest, and in the conduct of any aspect of our business, we may collect personal information. This personal information may include: your contact details; information relating to your reservation, stay or visit to our hotel; information relating to the purchase and receipt of products or services; nationality, passport number with location and date of issue; travel history; payment information such as your payment card number and other card information, as well as authentication information and other billing and account information associated with invoices; information about vehicles you may bring to our hotel; groups you were associated with while staying at our hotel, and other types of information you have chosen to provide to us or that we have obtained about you.

We may ask for details about fellow travellers, including their name and date of birth. We may also collect information and data regarding telephone and/or email conversations.

In addition, in certain cases we collect other personal information such as:

Applications: If you wish to apply online to Hotel Old Nickel, we will keep your CV and cover letter in our files.

Personal information we collect from third parties.

We may also collect information about you from third parties, including information from our booking, payment card and other partners; from social media sites in accordance with your settings on such sites; and from other third party sources who are permitted by law to share your information with us. We use and share this information (and may add it to other information we hold) about you for the purposes described in this statement.



Use of personal information collected about you.

We use your personal information in a number of ways, including to provide and personalize the services you request and expect from XO Hotels, to provide you with the expected level of hospitality in-room and throughout our hotels, to conduct direct marketing and sales promotions, and as set out in more detail below:

· Service Administration: We use your personal information to administer our programs in which you participate, including providing you with access to your account information, such as rewards status and offers for which you are eligible; to provide you with the services included in such program.

Data accuracy, analytics and personalization: We may aggregate your personal information with data from third party sources for the purposes of keeping information accurate and for statistics. We also rely on information from third parties to provide you with better, more personalized service. For example, if you connect your social media services or other accounts to our Service, we may use that information to personalize and socialize your experiences with us, or share and use it as described elsewhere in this Statement.

· Camera images: for your and our safety, our hotels and direct surroundings are monitored by our cameras 24 hours a day. Reviewing camera images can only be done by the hotel manager, on request by official authorities. The recordings are stored for a maximum of 4 weeks.

Personal information we share.

In order to provide you with the expected level of hospitality and to provide you with the best level of service, we may share your personal information among our service providers and other third parties as set out in more detail below:

Service Providers: We rely on third parties to provide services and products on our behalf and may share your personal information with them as appropriate. In general, our service providers are contractually bound to protect your personal information and may not otherwise use or share your personal information unless required to do so by law. However, our fraud detection service providers may use, but not share, your personal information for fraud detection. We may use service providers to communicate news and provide promotional and transactional materials to you on our behalf, including personalized online and mobile advertising consistent with your preferences and applicable law.

Hotel Old Nickel only works with parties that offer a method for you to opt out of such marketing.

Other information.

When you visit our website, use our hotel app and interact with us, we collect other information that does not directly identify you about your use of the site, such as a catalog of the site pages you visit and the number of visits to our sites ("Other Information"). We use Other Information, as well as data received from third parties, to deliver advertising to you via email, online (on our sites and other sites) and via mobile. We may use cookies and other technologies (such as "pixel tags," "web beacons," "clear GIFs," links in emails, JavaScript, device identifiers assigned by Google or Apple, or similar technologies) to collect this information. If you wish to remove or block cookies from your device at any time, you can update your browser settings (consult the "help" menu of your browser to learn how to remove or block cookies). This also includes demographic information such as date of birth, gender, marital status, inferred commercial interests such as favourite products or hobbies, and other information we collect from you or from third parties. Because Other Information does not personally identify you, we may disclose such information for any purpose where permitted by law. In some cases, we may combine Other Information with personal information. If we combine any other information with personal information, we will treat the combined information as personal information in accordance with this Statement.

Sensitive information.

The term “sensitive information” refers to information that relates to your racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religion or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, health, sex life, sexual orientation, genetic information, criminal background and biometric information and is used for the purpose of unique identification. We do not generally collect sensitive information unless you voluntarily provide it. We may use health information you provide to better serve you and meet your specific needs (for example, providing disabled access).

Children's personal information.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. As a parent or legal guardian, you should not allow your children to submit personal information without your permission.

Links to third party websites and services.

Our site and mobile applications may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the collection, use, maintenance, sharing or disclosure of data and information by these third parties. If you provide information on and use third-party sites, the privacy policies and terms of service of those sites apply. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of websites you visit before submitting any personal information. Your use of the hotel's Internet service is subject to the terms of use and privacy policy of the third-party Internet service provider. You can access these terms and policies using the links on the service's sign-in page or by visiting the Internet service provider's website.

Protection of personal information.

Hotel Old Nickel will take reasonable steps to: (i) protect collected personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction and (ii) keep personal information accurate and up to date, as appropriate. We also seek to require our affiliates and service providers with whom we share personal information to use reasonable efforts to maintain the confidentiality of personal information about you. For online transactions, we use technological measures to protect the personal information you transmit to us via our site. Unfortunately, no security system or system for transmitting data over the internet is completely secure. We will not contact you via mobile phone/text messages or email to ask you for confidential personal information or payment card details. We will only ask you for payment card details by telephone when you book a reservation or promotional package. If you receive such a request, please do not respond to it. International transfers of personal information.

As a global company, we strive to provide you with the same level of service that you expect from our hotel. In order to provide this service, you acknowledge that we may share your personal information with members of the hotel, our service providers and other third parties, who may be located in countries other than your own. Although the data protection laws in these countries may differ from the laws of your own country, we will take steps to ensure that your personal information is treated as described in this Statement and in accordance with the law.

Change, request, delete your personal information.

To the extent required by applicable law, you may ask us to inform you of the personal information we hold about you and, where applicable, to update, correct and/or delete your personal information (which we maintain in our active database). We will make all required updates and changes within the timeframe specified by applicable law and, where permitted by law, charge an appropriate fee to cover our costs of responding to the request. Such requests must be submitted in writing to info@oldnickel.nl. In order to keep your request confidential, we will only respond to you using the email address you have registered or otherwise provided to us. If you make such a request, we may not be able to provide you with the same quality and variety of services to which you are accustomed. In addition, in certain circumstances in compliance with applicable law, you may request that we cease sharing personal information about you with our business partners or that we cease using personal information about you as a hotel by contacting us at the email or postal address above. We will attempt to honor these requests in accordance with applicable law.

Changes to the statement.

We may change this Statement from time to time. If we make material changes to this Statement, we will post a link to the revised Statement on the home page of our site, and if you have registered for any of our products or services, we may also notify you through a means of communication that you have indicated to us. You can determine when this Statement was last updated by looking at the link and the date at the top of this Statement. Any changes to our Statement will become effective upon posting of the revised Statement on the site.
